Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and stir-fry broccoli and bell pepper until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. Toss to coat evenly and heat through.
  6. Stir in sliced green onions.
  7. Serve the honey garlic shrimp stir-fry over cooked rice, garnished with sesame seeds.
