Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/3 cup (80ml) extra-virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
- Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes or until the garlic is just beginning to turn golden.
- Add the cooked and drained spaghetti to the skillet. Toss well to coat the pasta in the garlic-infused olive oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta cooking water.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss again to combine.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately. Optionally, top with grated Parmesan cheese.
